Sioux City Update toggle arrow

September 2, 2026

In June, a fire in a neighboring suite resulted in water damage to our space, affecting our office and retail shop. We immediately closed the location for cleanup and to assess the inventory impact and overall damage. This closure required us to evaluate the space and consider the overall fit for the accessibility and needs of our Sioux City members and volunteers. Through that process, it has become clear that the current location is no longer the right fit to effectively meet the needs of our Girl Scout community.

With that in mind, we have made the decision to close the Sioux City office and shop permanently. This decision reflects both the circumstances surrounding the building and our ongoing evaluation of how we can best serve members in the Sioux City area moving forward.

While a physical location has been a familiar resource for our Siouxland Girl Scout community, Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa remains committed to supporting Girl Scouting in the Siouxland area and providing opportunities for girls and volunteers to participate and engage in Girl Scout programming.

We are grateful for the Siouxland Girl Scout community and the opportunity to serve girls, families and volunteers in new ways.

Thank you for your understanding as we navigate this transition. Please continue to reach out to us at info@gsiowa.org or 800-342-8389 for assistance.
