Camp Financial Assistance/Campership Application
After you sign up for camp, make sure to submit your Financial Assistance application to cover a portion of your camp tuition! Assistance is awarded based on need, not income eligibility. Our main concern is getting campers to camp, so if this could make that happen, please apply or reach out to our Camp team with any questions.
Please complete your Girl Scout’s camp registration before submitting the camp financial assistance application. To register for camp, please visit The Hub. Click on the event your girl would like to attend for details. A deposit is required to secure your registration--$50 for overnight camps or $25 for day camps. In the event that a full camp financial scholarship is awarded, your deposit will be refunded to the original method of payment.

About Camp Financial Assistance:
- Financial assistance is available for one overnight summer camp session or day camp (excluding Adult & Me and Troop Camp) to girls demonstrating need, based on the information provided in application.
- Assistance is dependent on the availability of funds. No amount is guaranteed.
- Girls who have participated in any Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa Product Program may apply their earned Munch Money, Juliette Program Credits, and/or Cookie Dough to pay their remaining camp balance.
- Families with debts to the council are not eligible for financial assistance.
- Financial assistance applications require two weeks for processing.
- Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa is dedicated to making camp accessible for every registered Girl Scout in our jurisdiction. The camp financial assistance program is designed to encourage all girls to participate in, and benefit from, our outdoor learning experiences.
If the original amount awarded would still present your household with a hardship, please reach out. We want your Girl Scout to be at camp! Submission and approval of a Camp Financial Assistance request does not guarantee a spot in your preferred session.
MAY 2026 UPDATE: At this time, all currently available camp scholarship funds have been awarded for 2026. However, we are actively fundraising to provide additional camp assistance and encourage families to continue submitting scholarship applications. As new funds become available, scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis to eligible applicants who meet scholarship criteria, with priority given in the order applications are received. Submitting an application now ensures your Girl Scout will be considered as funding becomes available.
