Our Camps

Looking for an escape to the great outdoors? You’ve come to the right place! Whether you’re looking to spend some time in the water or take a trail ride on horseback, we’ve got a camp for you. Mmmm, we can smell the campfire and s’mores already!

Psst…don’t let the Girl Scout Camp fun stop with the summer. You can rent our camp facilities for your troop or group in fall, winter, spring, and even some in the summer!

Camp Sacajawea

Camp Sacajawea is your first step to outdoor adventure!  Settled over 430 acres of wooded ravines just northeast of Boone, IA, Camp Sacajawea has a long history of girls coming to grow in self-esteem, confidence, activity skills, creativity, and building life-long friendships.  Whether you are joining us for our residential summer camp season, visiting for the weekend with your troop, or coming to one of our Outdoor Programs in the fall, winter, or spring, you will experience the beauty of Camp Sac’s natural surroundings and get a taste of the camp magic that has been inspiring girls for over fifty years!

Camp Tanglefoot

Camp Tanglefoot is a beautiful 50-acre camp nestled in a unique setting, with part of the camp along the shore of Clear Lake, a big meadow to play in, hiking through the forest, and catching a glimpse of wildlife in the prairie and on the marsh.  Campers live in small cabins and traditional platform tents during their stay at camp, and spend most of their time outdoors.  Our two large, year-round lodges provide indoor programming space, and a third lodge is where we eat meals!  Campers can experience boating and swimming at the waterfront, games in the meadow, shoot a round of archery, or try the ropes course!  A place like no other, Camp Tanglefoot!

Camp Joy Hollow

Nestled in 360 acres of the famed Loess Hills, Joy Hollow inspires nature awareness, appreciation and inspiration with its native prairie grass, spring-fed creek and natural beauty. The well-cared for facility offers treehouse-style sleeping cabins, an air-conditioned lodge, an arts & crafts room, an archery range and low challenge obstacle course, hiking trails, fire rings, primitive camping area and much more!

Camp Juliette

Camp Juliette is located on 27 wooded acres within the city limits of Marshalltown. The area features lots of spring wildflowers and animal life. Deer are an almost common sight. An old stagecoach trail once crossed the property and is still visible. The lodge is a two level frame structure that is energy efficient. The upper level has two sleeping areas, a small meeting room, two bathrooms, and six exits to the outside deck overlooking the Juliette grounds.
