Business Process Analyst 

JOB STATUS: Exempt

LOCATION:  Des Moines

PURPOSE OF JOB:  Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa has an exciting opportunity for a Business Process Analyst. This position will be responsible for supporting the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa’s business goals and processes through integrated systems, software design, operations and solutions in project and ongoing environments.  The person in this role will play an integral project role in helping define and document new processes, conduct gap analysis, and design business and program systems solutions by identifying and evaluating options. The Business Process Analyst will also develop and facilitate training to systems and program users.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business or Information Technology with a minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • Experience in a business process analyst role including process creation, implementation and maintenance demonstrating business acumen, analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Business technology and information systems expertise. Experience with at least one complex business system – ERP or CRM - required. CRM user experience strongly preferred.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office software programs, Adobe, Personify, the Raiser’s Edge plus other programs.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding project management and time-management skills.
  • High customer service orientation.
  • Goal Oriented with high initiative.
  • Facilitation, training and presentation skills.

Customer Care Specialist 

JOB STATUS: Exempt

LOCATION: Des Moines

PURPOSE OF JOB: Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Care Specialist reporting to the Senior Director of Program and Customer Care. The Customer Care Specialist serves as the first point of contact for inquiries via phone, email or in person.  The person in this role will be expected to provide the highest level of customer service to all members/customers, both external and internal.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • High school education or GED with a minimum of 3 years’ customer service experience or Associates Degree with 1 year experience
  • High customer service orientation with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills; oral and written

Inside Recruitment Specialist 

JOB STATUS: Exempt

LOCATION: Des Moines

PURPOSE OF JOB: Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa has an exciting opportunity for an Inside Recruitment Specialist. The individual in this role will work to secure new membership by following up on leads and speaking directly with prospective members, implementing established strategies and protocols. The Inside Recruitment Specialist will also be responsible for analyzing and interpreting market data, identifying trends, and recommending strategies / action plans that will successfully target and acquire new members.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other related field with a minimum of 2 years’ experience with some experience in inside or general sales highly preferred
  • Experience recruiting volunteers or organization members along with experience reaching out to community, education, faith-based, and/or business organizations and leaders preferred
  • Outstanding sales skills with knowledge of effective sales and marketing principles
  • High customer service orientation with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is detail oriented with good analytical and problem solving skills

PURPOSE OF JOB: Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa has an exciting opportunity for an Outside Recruitment Specialist. This position will be responsible for executing effective recruiting strategies that will increase awareness and participation in Girl Scouting. The person in this role will conduct in person meetings and presentations while identifying, initiating and following up on networking opportunities with community organizations, corporations, schools, educators, faith-based institutions as well as other community constituents that will increase Girl Scout and adult volunteer participation. As part of the Recruitment team, the Specialist will also contribute to the development of membership recruitment strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other related field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience with some experience in sales
  • Experience recruiting volunteers or organization members along with some experience reaching out to community, education, faith-based, and/or business organizations and leaders highly preferred

Lead Administrative Specialist 

JOB STATUS: Exempt

PURPOSE OF JOB: Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Administrative Specialist reporting to the Senior Director of Program & Customer Care. The Specialist will be responsible for monitoring work assignments and providing work direction to the administrative team while supporting the council as the front line contact for an assigned center. Job accountabilities include providing service to both internal and external customers focused on data base support, word processing, spreadsheet development and general clerical / administrative tasks for assigned areas within the council. This position will also provide back up support as needed in the retail shop.    

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • High School or GED with 4 years related experience or Associates Degree in office administration with 2 years related work experience
  • Experience working with data base systems
  • Experience working in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred
  • High customer service orientation with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills; oral and written
  • Is detail oriented with good planning and organization skills

Troop Support Manager 

JOB STATUS: Exempt

LOCATION: Des Moines, Mason City, Council Bluffs, Sioux City, or Fort Dodge

PURPOSE OF JOB: Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa has an exciting opportunity for a Troop Support Manager. This position provides leadership and management oversight to the team in supporting and retaining volunteers and members of the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa. The individual in this role will manage the development of support services ensuring the effective delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience while maintaining and developing partnerships to assist the volunteers in their work with the Girl Scouts. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other related field
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a lead role or supervisory capacity
  • Experience working in or with Girl Scout troops highly preferred
  • High customer service orientation with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Detail oriented with good planning and organization skills
  • Able to lead and develop others
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
