We know that these awesome trips take some time to plan, so to make things simpler we have created progressive trips for Girl Scout Juniors through Ambassadors. As you get older, the destinations get farther away and your adventure lasts a little longer. You’ll know what to expect, and what exciting trip to plan for next!
To choose the correct trip, make sure that you’re looking at the right grade level for you—these trips are designed for girls who have completed the grade specified. For example, a trip for Girl Scout Cadettes is for girls who have completed either 6th, 7th, or 8th grade at the time of the trip. To register for these exciting trips, you can fill out the registration form included in our program book or online.
To learn about these amazing Council-sponsored trips, contact your local Leadership Center to schedule a “Travel Talk.” Please note that parents must also attend the Travel Talk. There is no financial commitment at this time, but be sure to keep track of registration deadlines!
All trips are girl-led, which means that girls will help plan the itinerary—that way, you’ll be able to see and do the things you really want!
Girl planning meetings are held in person, via conference call, or online.
We hope that you can participate in as many adventures as you desire! Here are some fantastic opportunities that the Council provides to help start the money earning/saving process:
- Participate in the Fall Product and Cookie Programs and use Cookie Dough or Munch Money prior to September 15, 2015. Please email or call your local Leadership Center about using the funds in this way!*
- Troop money-earning opportunities (led by girls attending; specific for troop travel opportunities).
- Apply for financial assistance through our Trip Financial Assistance Form found in the forms section of our website.
Even with these programs, some out-of-pocket expenses may arise. Through these programs, however, we hope to allow you the chance to begin the process of taking the trip(s) of a lifetime!
*If Cookie Dough, Munch Money or Program Credits are used as payment for trip or event in the current membership year refunds will be processed within the Refund guidelines. However, if Cookie Dough, Munch Money or Program Credits are used to register for a future event (outside of the current membership year) and the member/family chooses to cancel, that amount is forfeit. (Trips cancelled by the council will result in a “credit” that will be made available for the remainder of the current year.)
