Girl Scouting made such an impact on Katie J. of St. Charles, that she’s still involved in Campus Scouts as a freshman at Iowa State University. Earning her Gold Award in 2013 led Katie on towards winning the National Young Woman of Distinction Award in 2013 as a senior in high school. Once college came around, she knew she was going to keep going with Girl Scouts.

“Girl Scouts has given me so many opportunities that I would never have had as part of any other organization. Girl Scouting is not just something for girls to do after school until they’re ‘too old.’ It’s something that sticks with us for a lifetime! “
