"They rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible claws!" Join us for a Wild Rumpus around camp! Stomp your way through the book "Where the Wild Things Are," as we make our own crowns, transform ourselves into Wild Things, and go on a Wild Rumpus. You will also get to hear from a Plymouth County naturalist about wild animals!

Spend three days of your summer pampering yourself. Give yourself a manicure, make a facial mask, and make your own lip gloss. Learn about stress relief, relaxation techniques, healthy eating, and nutrition. Grab your friends and come hang out at camp!

Grab your pillow and your favorite pajamas and get ready for a sweet  slumber party! Watch a movie, have a dance party, and make more than just popcorn. We will jump into the world of sweet, salty, and savory snacks. Whip up a new treat, get pampered, then settle down for a great night with marvelous friends!

Spend time at camp this summer with your sister -- and connect with other Girl Scout "sisters" at the same time! We will be busy from morning 'til night singing songs, swimming,  exploring the rolling Loess Hills, conquering the low ropes course, and experiencing camp. You'll also get to make your own "Sisters Forever" necklace, too!

Grab your friends and make magical memories over a two nights at Camp Joy Hollow! Design your own fairy wings, search for fairies on a moonlit hike, and hear fabulous stories! We will also hike down to the creek to look for water fairies and make memories around the campfire.  Join us for a perfectly fantastical time!

Are you brave enough to join us for our first-ever "Joy Hollow Games?" This outdoor skills challenge, inspired by Suzanne Collins' bestselling novel, The Hunger Games,  will test your basic camping skills, as well as your fire building, knot tying, teamwork, shelter building, camoflauge, outdoor cooking, packing, and archery skills. You'll then enter the "Arena" and work together to gather items for the Victory Feast! *Note: There will be no elimination of teams or individuals. This program is designed for campers to become proficient in basic camping skills through team building activities.*

Come experience camp with your mom, aunt, grandma, or another female adult for a fun overnight! We will have an open camp schedule which will include archery, swimming, low ropes, hiking, crafts, and snacks. Attend an all-camp carnival in the evening, a beautiful campfire, and a magnificent starry night hike. Wake up to a delicious breakfast and have a little more fun before heading home. *Cost listed is per person; each attendee must fill out both forms; check-in @ 9 a.m. Saturday, check-out @ 10 a.m. Sunday

Get ARTRAGEOUS with some hands-on crafts! We will experiment with candlemaking, methods of clay molding, and explore nature for inspiration. We will "upcycle" an old t-shirt and create a Camp Joy Hollow banner. You won't want ot miss out on this awesome art adventure!

During this introductory hiking session, you will learn the basics of camping -  including what to take on a trip and how to plan meals!  We will hike the trails at the Dorothy Pecault Nature Center during a day trip. We will  come back to camp to hike our trails, and end our day with a beautiful sunset at Lookout Point. You will be ready for any day trek after this session! *Check out will be at 12:30 pm

Dabble in a little bit of everything as we explore the world of art! During this camp we will make collages, paint, draw, make our own Doodlebug, and tie dye a pair of socks! We will also find inspiration in nature on a starry night hike and a scavenger hunt down by the creek! It will be artrageous! *socks provided

Calling all Muggles! Do you have what it takes to survive at Hogwarts? Travel through J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series where you'll make your own wand, search for the Sorcerer's Stone, dance at the Yule Ball, have a holiday feast in July, collect the Horcruxes, and find out which House wins the House Cup. Come learn what it takes to suceed in the wizarding world!

Do you enjoy getting manicures and facials? How about hand scrubs and candles? Grab a friend or come make new friends at Camp Joy Hollow! We will stay up late, star gaze, and learn proper dinner etiquette. You will also have the chance to design your own costume which you will show off at the Thursday morning fashion show. Bring a nice outfit to wear when we go out for dinner and practice what we learned during the week!

Come explore Indian Cave State Park near Rockport, Missouri on the Nebraska border! We will go on a fabulous hike -- and bring everything we will need for two days, including food, water, bedding, and cookware. Plan on backpacking trails during the day  and staying in tents at a primitive campsite each night. After our hike, we will stop at Indian Cave before heading back to camp for the last night of the session.

Have you ever made your own delicious pasta sauce? Or
eaten a crunchy carrot that you didn’t buy at the grocery
store? Join us at camp and experience our vegetable
garden! You will get to pick tomatoes, make salsa or pasta
sauce, and help plan next year’s garden. Hear from a local
farmer and learn about where our food comes from and
how to find and purchase local foods!
