Ag-Journey | Grades K-5

Grades K-5

Ready to learn about farming? Check out this exciting program, created through collaboration with DuPont Pioneer!

We already know there wouldn't be any Iowa farms without farmers, but did you know our farms are also supported by scientists and engineers? If you like science and math, Ag-Journey is a great program for you and your troop! Through Ag-Journey you can learn about the science of agriculture and how you can change the world through an ag-science career.

As a companion of It's Your Planet - Love It! you will discover how you can change the world through food, science, conservation, and careers. A mix of hands-on experiments, girl activities, and Iowa facts bring agriculture to life for everyone in your troop!

Troops receive a bag of resources to keep, the Ag Journey volunteer guide, patch, and fun activities for girls.

Are you and your troop interested in Ag Journey? Register here to receive your program kit! (Psst...On the first page where it asks "How many?," please enter the number of VOLUNTEERS participating. It will then ask for each adult's contact information.)

To earn a Girl Scout Ranger patch, Girl Scouts should participate in organized educational activities or volunteer service projects for a minimum of ten (10) hours at one or more national parks. Patches will be available from the national park that the hours were completed in.
