Adult Education

It is the policy of Girl Scouts of the USA that all groups meet with trained volunteers to ensure that all girls receive a high quality program.  Please note that all volunteers are expected to complete Orientation.  And volunteers who will be working directly with girls will also be expected to complete Leadership Essentials.  To help create the safest environment possible for both the girls and adults, at least one adult certified in First Aid and CPR should be present at any group gathering.

We have heard your requests and now have Online Training for Orientation and Leadership Essentials-Troop Pathways (see subheaders to the left)!  You have two options for completing Orientation either as an interactive piece where you email your response back or on a CD which you can receive from your Service Unit Manager, Girl Services manager or from your Local leadership Center. 

You may complete your Leadership Essentials-Troop Pathways in a face to face session with other volunteers or as an online interactive piece where you can email your responses back.  If you are using the online option, please be sure to fill-out the evaluation so that we may be sure the training has been completed.  

Education and learning are necessary steps to help you during your volunteer experience, it is a great way to meet others, gather new ideas and learn more about the Girl Scout experience and what we have to offer.
