Online Sale Rules and Regulations
Many people ask... What are the guidelines for online sales? Here are a few of the rules for Girl Scouts and their families to follow when using online tools.
It is the policy of the Girl Scouts of the USA as well as Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa that girls cannot conduct a money exchange sale online.
However, girls can utilize online tools to enhance their product sale plan such as:
- All girls can use GSUSA-approved vendor e-mail tools to inform friends, family, and former customers within council ZIP code(s) when they are selling cookies. This includes programs designed and designated by ABC Bakers (the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa cookie vendor).
- All girls can use group e-mail overseen by an adult, a parent/guardian’s address in partnership for sending emails to friends and family, and/or a static group Web page for marketing. You must tell people what your council’s ZIP codes are, however.
- All girls can sell to anyone within their jurisdictional zip code area. They can sell to family members only outside of their jurisdictions zip code area.
